MBI Group of companies ("MBI") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, visitors, users and customers. This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") is intended to inform you how we gather, define, and utilise your personal information such as name, address and email address ("Information"), to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website and services. All your personal and company information shall be held and used in accordance with the GDPR 2018. This policy relates to MBI Surveyors and all of its subsidiary companies including MBI Surveys (11620858) and MBI Estates (09989694), jointly referred to as "MBI" throughout this policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you visit our website, or send us an email (including staff / employees and the company) you may choose to provide us with personal information on an individual basis. You also provide website-use information collected as you and others browse our website. Personal and individual information will only be collected if it is provided to us such as by way of email or subscribing (opting-in). The information that is then provided and held will only be done so as required by the company to legitimately carry out its business.

The main purpose of holding data is to provide clients and customers with property updates as requested by them - and this can be unsubscribed from at any time. From 25th May 2018 contact will only be made on this basis to 'subscribers' and customers who provide us with their data via email or phone (and where it is written). Data will otherwise be deleted unless there is a legitimate legal reason to retain this information to maintain appropriate records. This will be stated within client contracts and the time in which data may be held subject to approval of the client and customer.

 

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. So, whilst we will do our best to protect your information, we cannot ensure the security of your data transmitted to our website. Any information you submit is sent at your own risk. Once we have received your information we securely store it in an online database (through Google and Wix), and only with your consent or request, will we contact you using it - it is not passed on to any third parties without your express consent.

Similar to other commercial websites, our website uses a technology called "cookies" and web server logs to collect information about how our website is used. Information gathered through cookies includes the date and time of visits, pages viewed, visitors location and time spent browsing (via Wix).

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

As you browse on our website, the website uses cookies to differentiate you from other users. Cookies, in conjunction with our web server's log files, allow us to calculate the aggregate number of people visiting our website and which parts of the website are most popular. This helps us gather feedback so that we can improve our website and better serve our customers. Cookies do not allow us to gather any personal information about you.

Email is not recognised as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we request that you do not send private information to us by email. Once we have received an email from a customer or client it is stored in a secure online Google database that is password protected and is otherwise only accessed by our firm. We do not pass on any personal data to third parties without your express and informed consent.

This e-mail message may contain confidential or legally privileged information and is intended only for the use of the intended recipient(s). Any unauthorised disclosure, dissemination, distribution, copying or the taking of any action in reliance on the information herein is prohibited.

 

E-mails are not secure and cannot be guaranteed to be error free as they can be intercepted, amended, or contain viruses.

 

Anyone who communicates with MBI Surveyors or any of its subsidiaries by e-mail is deemed to have accepted these risks. Additionally, anyone sending an email is providing their data at their will and any content within that email is sent to MBI. MBI will not pass this to any third party unless consent is provided by the sender and data holder.

Any opinion and other statement contained in this message and any attachment are solely those of the author, are subject to contract, and do not necessarily represent those of the company.

Any email either inward or outward going should be read in conjunction with our general privacy policy available on our website and on this page in compliance with GDPR.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

In order to cover the standard commercial lease cycle of 3-10 years, records will normally be retained for 11 years from the time of data entry unless there is an earlier request to have data deleted.
